Fafner's 遁世居

在 "Another Brick in the Wall" 這本詳述搖滾樂團 Pink Floyd 所有歌曲的書裡，作者 Cliff Jones 指出，Pink Floyd 的貝斯手 Roger Waters 承認，他所寫的 "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" 這首歌（出自 Pink Floyd 1968 年專輯 "A Saucerful of Secrets"）的歌詞，是取材自一本由 Arthur Whaley 所翻譯的中國詩集。

有 Pink Floyd 的樂迷則說，約在 93、94 年間聽過 Roger Waters 的電台專訪，說 "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" 歌詞的靈感，來自當時在看的一本晚唐的詩集，不過他已記不得確切的書名及出處。

A. C. Graham 英譯的晚唐詩集

大約在 1997 年時，同一個樂迷在舊書攤中看到了一本書：A. C. Graham 編譯的 "Poems of the Late T'ang"，翻閱之後，很肯定 Roger Waters 當年看的就是這本詩集（顯然 Cliff Jones 的資訊錯誤），於是就展開了 "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" 的歌詞考證，其結果就在： http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Lair/4152/controls.html。

另外一個樂迷，則做了更完整（含原詩對照）的網頁："Allusions to Classical Chinese Poetry in Pink Floyd" 。

我根據原詩，把其歌詞以中國古詩型態呈現，而尚未被指認出原出處的句子（這部分很可能是 Roger Waters 自己的創作），則補上我個人很外行的仿古詩翻譯，以下是歌詞對照：
